It's actually a Tamagotchi-alike piggy bank that encourages people to cultivate saving habit. The ultimate goal is to save up to 100,000 yen (S$1273)! However, you can actually set a target amount and dateline at the beginning, and start depositing 500 yen coins (S$6.40) into Jinsei Ginko. The gadget's screen shows you the life of a stick man who starts out as a poor fellow living in a small-sized apartment and gradually changes to a rich bastard dining in the restaurant, which depends on the amount and the rate of money you have deposited into. So who says saving cannot be fun?
